The move into the new building has gone very smoothly. Here are a few photographs of the first day.
We are days away from the move into our lovely new school building and our contractor Kier have sent an update of plans and photographs as the front part of the building nears completion.

We are now in phase one of the move into the new building on Crescent Road. This means that we are able to use the sports hall for PE lessons and assemblies.
Meanwhile, work on the rest of the new school carries on apace.
The following images show the current status and we are looking forward to taking over more areas later this term.

The new school building is now starting to take shape. Just before the holidays a number of staff donned their hard hats and were able to go on site to visit what will be their new classrooms and workspaces. Here are a few images of how the building work is progressing.
The ground has been cleared, the piledriver has been pounding and at last the first concrete has arrived for the foundations. Over the next few weeks 50 cubic metres of concrete will be poured from a fleet of concrete mixers. It wont be long before the building starts to rise from ground level!
Planning permission has been granted for the temporary phase of the building project. Demolition work of the existing derelict buildings on the site is preparing the way for groundwork and other preparations for our temporary buildings.
