On Friday 12th December Maiden Erlegh School in Reading donated 30 shoe boxes full of gifts for homeless people in Reading. Mabel Boyd from CIRDIC came to collect the boxes and said they would be distributed to the homeless of Reading during their Christmas dinner. The students had filled their boxes with useful items such as hats, gloves and scarves, but also some Christmas treats such as chocolate and biscuits. They had great fun wrapping the parcels after school earlier in the week. We hope that the recipients of our gifts will find some pleasure this Christmas.
Mrs Boyd from the charity CIRDIC has since written to us to say how much the boxes were appreciated. You can read her letter by following the link.
