The new Maiden Erlegh School in Reading is once again full with a waiting list for places for its second intake in September 2016. It is one of only three non-selective schools in Reading to be oversubscribed.
Peter Thomas, headteacher said:
“We are delighted that so many local families want to send their children to Maiden Erlegh’s new secondary school in Reading. There are many applications from local feeder primary schools and all applications are within 1.85 miles. We want our school to be a local school for families in East Reading that our pupils can walk to each day.
As you can see below the builders Kier are making good progress on the permanent building for the new school which is now starting to look like a school.
We look forward to welcoming our new pupils and to working closely with their families in the exciting years ahead.”
