Travelling to School
How will my child get to school?
Maiden Erlegh Trust encourages all students to walk or cycle to school wherever possible.
Students using a bicycle will be expected to adhere to the Highway Code in respect of bicycles and wear a cycle helmet. Students will also be expected to bring a padlock to lock their bike whilst it is on school premises.
Encouraging students to walk or cycle will reduce congestion and pollution around the local area. It will also help your child’s mental and physical health. Teachers find that students who walk and cycle arrive at the school more relaxed, alert and ready to start the day, than those who travel by car.
The school is well served by Reading buses numbers 17 and 19 for those students unable to walk or cycle. Both stop very close to the campus and both run regularly.
Please see below the link to a map of Reading and which areas are served by buses and the timetables.

Please be aware that parents' cars will not be allowed onto the school site or in the adjacent Hamilton Centre car park.
