It is our pleasure to welcome you to the website of Maiden Erlegh School in Reading. We opened our doors to our first Year 7 students in September 2015 and our school will eventually grow to 900 students, housed in brand-new, purpose-built accommodation that opened in 2016.

A school, however, is not just the building but the community of students, staff and parents working together to deliver excellent outcomes for young people. We are determined that our students will leave Maiden Erlegh School in Reading well qualified and equipped for the next phase of their life. We do this using the educational expertise, experience and leadership from across the Maiden Erlegh Trust, working in collaboration with our sister school.

Our students thrive in a supportive, purposeful and happy environment. They benefit immensely from working with the highly trained, talented and dedicated teachers and support staff and from participating in a wide range of exciting and inspiring extra-curricular activities. As a result they make excellent progress and secure impressive results, but also grow into wonderful young adults.

Our first year has been a tremendous success and we are delighted that the school was oversubscribed in 2016/17.  We are equally delighted to report that we are oversubscibed for 2017/18 and we are looking forward to welcoming our new intake of students in September. This is testament to the trust that local families have placed in the school and what we offer their children. The website contains a wealth of information about our achievements, what we stand for and what we do. We hope you find it helpful.

Parents or guardians of current students may request a paper copy of any of the information on the school website by contacting the school office. This will be provided free of charge.
